Zouhir Adaoui

Director General

Director General of ZA'THINK TANK for Management and Consultancy (ZATMAC), Zouhir Adaoui designs and leads applied research, program design and evaluation, and capacity-building assignments for public institutions, civil society organizations, and United Nations agencies across Morocco. Since 2020, he has delivered more than twenty assignments with partners including UNICEF, UNFPA, the Ministry of Health, ITPC MENA, SANTE SUD GROUP SOS, ALCS, CNMH, Y-PEER, JOSSOUR FFM, FES and Global Fund, AFD and UE-supported programs, ranging from multi-country baseline studies and knowledge-attitude-practice surveys to institutional advocacy strategies, training curricula, and monitoring and evaluation frameworks. A PhD candidate in the sociology of health at Ibn Tofail University in Kénitra, he devotes his research to public health, sexual and reproductive health and rights, comprehensive sexuality education, youth empowerment, and the inclusion of persons with disabilities. His doctoral work examines how young Moroccans navigate access to sexual and reproductive health services, drawing on mixed-methods fieldwork that combines quantitative surveys with ethnographic observation and life-story interviews. This academic grounding is inseparable from a long practice in the field. A former president of a national association working on sexual education and peer education approaches, he has worked alongside community organizations and youth networks, and has taken part in international and United Nations forums where the priorities of Moroccan and MENA civil society are brought to policy tables. His work combines scientific rigor with strategic management, guided by a single conviction: research matters only insofar as it addresses the real needs of communities and translates into better public policy and stronger field practice.
